Maternity session with natural AND studio lights

Mar

23

AH! Ok Im really excited about this. I have been wanting to start incorporating more formal portrait work for some time and its TIME! I will always do the more organic natural light moments, but there is something to be said about a classic portrait. Now here is the thing. Editing takes a LOT longer. Working on skin and textures, and shadows… you name it. But I LOVE it.  It has been SO fun for me to learn over the year and I am finally ready to offer it to clients. I don’t want to just use lights and have a clean photo. I really wanted to make some magic in the photo and offer a more high end photograph and stay true to my brand, my creativity and myself. This mama is due any day and I cant wait to then photograph her with her new baby too!!!! If you are thinking about booking a maternity session, I like to photograph them around week 32-35! this gives you time to really grow your belly and then not feel TOO uncomfortable before you hit that 40 week mark.

When most people think about a […]

Senior Photos in St. Louis | Class of 2026 & 2027 Spring + Summer Sessions

GAH. How is Eva old enough to graduate. She will be graduating this Spring of 2026 from Saint Joseph’s Academy (Saint Joe). This hurts my brain. I have known and photographed her since she was little as I’ve known her mom a long time! I love this season I am in with who I’m photographing. […]

family in color and black at white at sunset

I discovered a hidden spot during my son’s soccer practice that would ONLY work for about 15-20 minutes AT sunset, and ONLY if there was sun. I mean…. I GUESS we could do NO sun too…. but the sunset was epic here. Actually, this was late in the season and we had to move spots, […]
