Loving newborn photography – st louis newborn photographer

Loving newborn photography. Yep. I love it. I love my job so much. I was so lucky to get to photograph this beautiful angel.  There are no words.  It’s funny. When you become a newborn photographer you never imagine that you could love a job SO much. But I do! I started off in a totally different career, moving to photography when my son was born.   Now a days, anyone with a good camera will be “a photographer” for a short period of time. Some take off and have small business, eventually charging a small fee for their service. Others will study their craft and become and expert in their field.  Now that I have been around for a bit, I have seen it all.  Photographers come and go. It just is what it is. The ones that last are the ones that are doing it because they love it. That does not make them the best, it does not make them qualified (posed newborn photography is something that requires lots of training and experience to do safely), but it makes them stick to doing something they love.   I truly love what I do. I have spent years studying my craft, learning from others as well as teaching photographers across the country.  I do this because I love it. Getting to start at the newborn age is even better because I get to see them grow up!!! 🙂  Best. Job. Ever.

As much as I love photographing newborns — and I really do — it’s the connection that gets me. As a St. Louis newborn photographer, my focus is always on capturing real connection in a clean, natural studio setting. With parents. With siblings. With the whole family adjusting to someone new. When most people think about a […]

St. Louis Newborn Photographer | Natural, Connection-Focused Studio Sessions

Senior year always feels far away… until it suddenly isn’t. Being a St. Louis senior photographer is one of my favorite! If you’re starting to think about senior photos for the Class of 2026 or Class of 2027, spring and summer are some of the easiest seasons to book. I photograph seniors throughout the St. […]

Senior Photos in St. Louis | Class of 2026 & 2027 Spring + Summer Sessions

GAH. How is Eva old enough to graduate. She will be graduating this Spring of 2026 from Saint Joseph’s Academy (Saint Joe). This hurts my brain. I have known and photographed her since she was little as I’ve known her mom a long time! I love this season I am in with who I’m photographing. […]

family in color and black at white at sunset

I discovered a hidden spot during my son’s soccer practice that would ONLY work for about 15-20 minutes AT sunset, and ONLY if there was sun. I mean…. I GUESS we could do NO sun too…. but the sunset was epic here. Actually, this was late in the season and we had to move spots, […]
